Zunil is a pretty agricultural and market town dominated by an old white church with a beautifully ornate facade gleaming above the red tiled and rusted tin roofs of the pueblo.

Vegetables are grown on the irrigated patches along the river. Hot springs bubble up here and there along the river.
     
   
Fuentas Georginas is the most beautiful spa in the country. Pools of varying temperatures are fed by hot sulfur springs. The site has a restaurant and three sheltered picnic areas with cooking grills. There are also cabins to rent here.
